Job Overview

RidgeCorps is hiring dependable Warehouse Workers to support daily warehouse operations in Jefferson, Georgia. This position pays $17.00 per hour, is a 1st Shift role, and is paid weekly.

Responsibilities

• Verify the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing products.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Read order slips and use handheld scanners to locate and select products.
• Inspect products for damage, defects, or missing components before shipment.
• Package products using appropriate materials to ensure safe transportation.
• Label, weigh, and document shipments according to company procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counting activities.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, replenishment, and shipping activities.
• Clean and process reusable totes using the facility's automated tote-washing equipment.
• Load totes into the cleaning equipment, operate the wash and air-cleaning cycle as instructed, and remove totes after cleaning.
• Inspect cleaned totes for remaining debris or damage and separate any that require additional attention.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
• Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to accurately pick, pack, receive, and ship products in a warehouse environment.
• Experience using handheld scanners, barcode readers, and inventory tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail when verifying quantities, inspecting products, and preparing shipments.
• Ability to safely use packing tools, including tape guns, box cutters, shrink-wrap equipment, and pallet jacks.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills for inventory counts, shipping documentation, and order verification.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or fulfillment experience preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills preferred.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to pass required background screening and/or drug testing, if applicable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
