Job Overview
RidgeCorps is hiring dependable Warehouse Workers to support warehouse and logistics operations in Early Branch, South Carolina. This position includes general warehouse work such as picking, pick and pack, repacking, labeling, and related operational support.
Responsibilities
- Verify the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing products.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Read order slips and use handheld scanners to locate and select products.
- Inspect products for damage, defects, or missing components before shipment.
- Package products using appropriate materials to ensure safe transportation.
- Label, weigh, and document shipments according to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counting activities.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, replenishment, and shipping activities.
- Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet productivity and quality goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to accurately pick, pack, receive, and ship products in a warehouse environment.
- Experience using handheld scanners, barcode readers, and inventory tracking systems.
- Strong attention to detail when verifying quantities, inspecting products, and preparing shipments.
- Ability to safely use packing tools, including tape guns, box cutters, shrink-wrap equipment, and pallet jacks.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills for inventory counts, shipping documentation, and order verification.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or fulfillment experience preferred.
- Basic computer and data entry skills preferred.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to pass required background screening and/or drug testing, if applicable.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
